Brenda Allison is a versatile and prolific painter who works in oils, acrylic, watercolors and coldwax. Her work is recognized by her exceptional use of color and ability to create depth with her unique layering of materials.

Brenda grew up in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley of California. This area of California is a rich agrarian environment, thus agriculture influences her work in abstracted forms.

In school, art classes filled her day and drove her interests. With a Bachelors of Arts in design and then working in the design industry she explored unusual combinations of textures and patterns, driven Around - acrylic painting by brenda allisonby color. These wonderful fundamentals of Brenda’s style as a designer became the foundation of her art. As a professional artist Brenda’s unique approach to the canvas is innovative. Her attention to every detail makes her a perfectionist.

Curious and innovative use of unfamiliar materials, with a contemporary twist graces her work. Brenda Allison has used the ancient method of gold leafing with stunning contrasts or extremely beautiful decorative origami paper or high end wallpaper are just a few of her refreshing elements.

Atypical of other professional artists, when Brenda is considering a new commission she composes a detail proposal of the proposed work for the client’s review. The written proposals include sketches, paint swatches of color palettes and times lines. These proposals build confidence between the client and the artist.

Brenda Allison’s creations are international. She created 105 original paints for “The Venetian” in Macao China and “The Venetian”, Las Vegas Nevada. Brenda is a “published artist” on both the East and West coasts.

Her work is available through several galleries and commercial locations and graces the homes of many collectors.

Art and creativity comes to her without fear but as a driving force to create. An empty canvas talks to Brenda and draws her into endless possibilities.

About:
I am a published artist and creator of original works. My artwork has been sold for residential, commercial, and hospitality applications. Custom paintings for professionals and private clientele are a mainstay of my studio. My art can be boldly contemporary, representational, and abstract.

Exterior Art or Freestanding Interior Art:

Developed and tested in my studio is a new line of sophisticated art for the garden. This work has been created to withstand the elements of exterior environments with moderate care. Each unique piece of art comes ready to hang, per the buyer’s specification or a “free-standing” structure that allows the art to stand independently. Each piece is an original and comes with care instructions.

As a “Freestanding Interior Art” sculpture creates a unique element to any room.

Private and Designer Commissions

Most artists do not enjoy doing commission work. They find the clients too demanding and intimidating; I thrive on it. With a bachelors’ degree in interior design, I have an excellent understanding of the design process and how important it is to have a cohesive and complete interior space.

I am flexible and able to working within a client’s objective or under the designer’s direction. This is a process that must be done with care and understanding. Using color corrected samples or fabric swatches for exact color matches are imperative. Success happens when there is good communication between designers, clients and the artist.

Hospitality Intent Work

Executing commission work within the “design intent” is a mainstay of my artist painting business. Working from a PDF file, I can adapt an image that is uniquely original but still functions within the intent of PDF’s formatted design. This work is completed within a deadline and budget. I have completed over 100 pieces of work that have been shipped all over the world.
